Nur Firuza Amira and her sister Nur Firuza Akila, who lost their parents in the road accident involving their parents’ Mitsubishi Pajero and six racing Perodua Myvis on the DUKE Expressway, received a surprise visit from a sympathetic pop legend: Siti Nurhaliza.
The songstress, who had heard of the seven-year old’s wish to one day meet her, went to the girls’ home in Taman Batu Muda, near Batu Caves with her husband, Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, in tow.
After the hour-long visit, Siti told members of the media she fought to hold back tears when speaking to Amira and her three-year old sister Akila.
“I pray that they will be strong enough to face the coming days,” she said, as quoted by The Star Online.
She added that she and her husband would assist the two sisters in their educational needs. The couple also brought gifts for the girls, in the form of clothes and toys.
