Sirens ‘rescue’ four lost teenagers

Four teenagers who got lost while hiking Kledang Hill in Ipoh were rescued by bomba sirens on Thursday.

According to a The Star Online report, the group of 18-year-olds, who had hiked up the hill at about 7am got lost when trying to descend the hill.

The website quoted a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesman as saying that the boys were lost for almost three hours, before one of them made a distress call at 10am.

“We sounded the siren and got them to follow it. They eventually managed to find their way onto the tarred road,” he told The Star Online.

The teenagers were unhurt, according to the report.
