A Singaporean man has reportedly died after slipping from a 20-metre high ledge, heading to the Gunung Pulai waterfalls near Kulai today.
The New Straits Times’ Halim Said reports that the man, identified as Cho Kah Loong, 47, suffered serious head injuries that led to his death.
It was reported that Cho and four family members were hiking uphill, but had taken a steep terrain along a stream instead of the provided trekking route to the waterfalls.
“When we arrived at the scene, there were three victims at the foot of the hill. Two of them , a woman and a girl were conscious but injured. The third victim was a man who was pronounced dead by a Kulai hospital paramedic who was also dispatched to the scene,” Kulai Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohd Khairi Zainuddin was quoted as saying.
