By-elections for the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar parliamentary seats will be held simultaneously on June 18.
The Star Online quotes Election Commission chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Hashim Abdullah as saying nomination day for both constituencies has been set for June 5, a day before the fasting month begins on June 6.
Early voting will be done on June 14. Both by-elections would cost RM2.7million.
Both seats became vacant following the deaths of Datuk Noriah Kasnon and Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad — MPs for Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar respectively — in a helicopter crash in Sarawak on May 5.
Six people were killed when the helicopter crashed mid-journey from Betong to Kuching.
