A senior citizen has reportedly gone missing for six days from his home in Kampung Keda Telok Teduri, Alor Setar.
According to The New Straits Times, 63-year-old Haron Yaakob was reportedly last seen at a rubber estate and oil palm plantation on Tuesday.
The man’s family reportedly lodged a missing persons report at the Baling police station on Wednesday.
Baling Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Mohd Sufian Alias told the daily that a search and rescue team was set up on Sunday evening after the authorities were informed of his disapperance.
“A rescue and search operation was conducted around the area where he was last seen. Also joining the operation were 15 villagers.
“A disaster control post was also established at the village,” Mohd Sufian was quoted as saying.
