A 63-year old man was arrested in Hulu Langat on the charge of sexually molesting two children living next door to his home.
Harian Metro‘s Mohd Fadly Samsudin reports the arrest was made at the suspect’s house, after a police report was lodged by the children’s mother.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ab Rashid An Wahab said the two girls, aged 10 and 12, were believed to have been molested by the suspect in their own home.
“The incident was kept a secret by both children until they recounted their recollection of the events to another neighbour,” he said.
Ab Rashid added, “The mother of the children, aged 48, had also brought them for examination at the Kajang Hospital.”
Doctors found no evidence of vaginal tearing on either of the two children.
“The suspect was brought into the district police headquarters, and subsequent investigations have turned up no prior criminal record,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code.
