A Nepalese security guard was run down and killed by a passing KTM Komuter train in Sungai Way on Tuesday morning.
The incident, which took place at around 12.35am, occured when the victim was attempting to cross the rtrain tracks using an illegal shortcut, just as the Komuter train, en route to its next stop in Subang Jaya, was approaching his position from the rear.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din told mStar‘s Jastin Ahmad Tarmizi that the collision threw the victim’s body five metres across the tracks, killing him instantly.
Police recovered a bag and several articles of personal identification at the scene of the incident.
The victim’s remains were sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) for an autopsy.
