One part of the North South Expressway had to be closed off after a tank containing LPG began to leak around noon today.
The stretch between Tapah and Gopeng at KM311 of the highway was closed both ways, The Star Online reported.
According to the driver of the trailer that was moving the tank, the leak was traced back to two faulty safety valves.
Both sides of the highway were closed to traffic while members of the police and Fire and Rescue Department allowed the LPG tank to vent, the portal reported.
