All bets were off over the weekend in one Sabah home, after a 40-year-old woman allegedly attacked her husband with a steel rod after he dared to disturb her as she was searching for better phone signal.
Late Saturday night, the woman took her husband to task with a verbal assault after he suggested that she give her online gambling habit a rest for the night. After words were exchanged, the woman then went outside where she found the weapon, returned to the martial home, and began to hit her husband on his face and body.
After the 10pm incident, the man went to a nearby police station to lodge a report against his wife, and later went to a local hospital to receive treatment for his wounds.
The woman was later arrested at the scene of the crime, taking her into custody, along with the alleged weapon. Police report that the woman has a history of drug abuse, and is a housewife. She and her husband, a scrap metal collector, have been married since 2004.
