A career as a disc jockey is turning out to be the transition of choice for more and more silver screen and TV stars who might want to work away from the cameras, as perennial leading man Dato’ Rosyam Nor has been announced to be the latest voice talent gracing the airwaves on Hot FM.
Media Prima Radio Networks group general manager Anida Mohd Tahrim revealed that Rosyam would begin broadcasting with the Bahasa Malaysia station with a weekly segment called “Doktor R”, which will air every Wednesday from 7.30am to 8.30am. Rosyam will play the titular doctor, whose main angle will be to dole out advice on subjects as varied as romance, finance and other issues in need of celebrity lifehacking.
“Doktor R” will not be a scripted segment, relying instead on Rosyam playing off his macho man public persona and subverting it with his wry, sometimes intimidating sense of humour. Of course, Rosyam will also be plugging his film projects, the latest of which is ‘Balistik’.
