Rosmah Mansor, wife of former Prime Minister Najib Razak, was seen arriving at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters this morning in Putrajaya for the second time.
Earlier this week, MACC officials reported that investigations into Rosmah, imaginatively complined into what is referred to as “the Rosmah file,” had been concluded this week, and that the file had been sent to the Attorney General’s office for their review. The AGO will then decide if there is sufficient evidence to charge the her.
On June 5, Rosmah was questioned by MACC investigators who sought a statement from her regarding their investigations into SRC International, the company created in 2011 by a Najib-era government to pursue overseas investments in energy resources. Authorities are eager to understand the role of SRC International in alleged fund misappropriation.
Yesterday, her son Riza Aziz was questioned by the MACC over allegations that an influx of of funds into his production company, Red Granite Pictures, had come from 1MDB.
Local outlet New Straits Times, that broke the news last week that impending arrest could be in Rosmah’s very near future, is now claiming that she will be formally arrested later today. We’ll keep you posted.
