Former first lady Rosmah Mansor is back on Malaysian soil and in court after welcoming her newest grandchild in Singapore.
The 69-year old Birkin stan returned to the Court of Appeal in Putrajaya today for the hearing of her bid to nullify her bribery trial and remove the lead prosecutor. The hearing was postponed four days after she failed to turn up last week, prompting authorities to consider issuing an arrest warrant.
Rosmah, who has been charged with money-laundering, corruption, and tax evasion, is also expected to surrender her passport for the second time today. She arrived in court 10 minutes late, dressed in pink and white with a pink face mask.
The arrest warrant was eventually withheld as it was her first time being absent from court proceedings, which were originally scheduled to begin on Dec. 2.
Rosmah was in Singapore recently to be with her daughter Nooryana Najwa, who had given birth to her second baby. The court gave Rosmah permission to travel and temporarily released her passport.
Her husband, ex-prime minister Najib Razak, is still in Singapore.
