Here’s why you shouldn’t leave valuables – especially a WHOT LOT OF CASH – in your car.
A businessman from Terengganu reportedly lost a whopping RM30,000 in cold, hard cash after his car was broken into by robbers.
According to The New Straits Times, the incident reportedly happened last Wednesday at around 5pm when the man stashed a bag filled with money under the seat of his Audi.
Thinking that it was safe, the man then reportedly parked his car near a restaurant in Jerteh to meet up with his friends.
When he returned to his car 15 minutes later, he was shocked to find his car’s front passenger window smashed.
The cash under the car seat? Yup, you guessed it – missing.
District police chief Superintendent Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi told the daily that the man then lodged a police report the same day.
Supt Mohd Zamri added that the case is currently being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft.
