Never let it be said that you can’t turn a disaster around and use it to push your brand out … and still come out smelling like roses.
Telco DiGi Telecommunications, as part of its #30HariBaik social media campaign, jumped on the case of the Kuantan road rage video currently exploding on the Malaysian interwebs, and offered to pay for the repairs to the elderly Chinese man’s car – which, apart from grazing the brand-new Peugeot in the video, was also given a few cracks from the woman’s steering lock.
Of course, in all fairness, DiGi also offered to pay for the repairs to the upset woman’s car … provided she “could find it in your heart to forgive”.
Pretty classy, for a faceless cellular communications corporation.
