There were thousands of pretty angry Penang folk this morning.
Massive traffic congestions — a result of road closures — heading towards Bayan Baru and Bayan Lepas caused thousands to be stuck on the roads, missing flights and turning up late to work.
Not the best start to a Monday, that’s for sure.
The Star Online reports that the crawl began on Lebuhraya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu and was backed up about 5km.
Roads had been closed along the coastal stretch for upgrade works.
According to the New Straits Times the crawl began as early as 6.30am, resulting in several factories reporting that 3/4 of their employees were late for work.
