Police in the north have been busy cracking drug syndicates in the region.
Since last week, six people have been arrested in three raids at Kuala Kedah and Langkawi and cops have seized a total of RM110,000 worth of drugs.
Kedah Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department chief Supt Abdul Razak Mohd Zin told Bernama that 2.47kg of heroin and 657g of syabu were found during the raids, Bernama reports.
“We believe the drugs were intended for the addict population in Alor Setar and Sungai Petani,” he reportedly said.
The six – five men and a woman aged between 20 and 35 – were picked up from various locations including Kuah Jetty, Kedawang and Taman Nilai.
