More of the same for Rosmah Mansor, colorful wife of former prime minister, Najib Razak: On Tuesday afternoon, she was arrested by officials from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in relation to their investigations into alleged graft over a solar energy project at rural Sarawak schools.

A statement from the MACC confirmed that the Attorney General’s Chambers have already given their consent to go forward with the case.
She was detained by the MACC when she arrived at MACC headquarters at 1:45pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Following her arrest, Rosmah posted bail, and is expected back in court on Wednesday to have her charges formally read.
Late last year, she was charted with two other graft counts in in the case: The first of soliciting an RM187.5 million (US$45 million) bribe from the managing director of the company awarded the project, Jepak Holdings Sdn Bhd via her aide, and the second is an alleged reward given to her to the tune of RM1.5 million (US$375,000) after assistance in obtaining the same project.
