Last month, we ran a piece on acclaimed street-style photographer Ridduan “ttfga” Ismail’s beautiful and haunting images shot during his trip back to his hometown of Rantau Panjang, Kelantan as the worst floods in Malaysian history had only begun to hit the peninsular east coast.
Now, the images he captured will be put on display at a solo exhibition to be held at The HQ in Jalan Beruas, Damansara Heights. The exhibition, titled BANJIR (“Flood”), will feature Ridduan’s iPhone photos, many of which have been posted to his very popular Instagram account, but scaled to adorn even the most discerning art collector’s gallery wall.
BANJIR will be exhibited for only the weekend of January 31 and February 1. The exhibition kicks off at 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday. The photos will be on sale, and a percentage of the proceeds will be distributed to charitable causes assisting in the flood relief efforts, which are still ongoing.
