Remains of foetus found in Ipoh hospital cafeteria rubbish bin

Well, it is kinda true that you’ll find a lot of weird stuff in the trash can.

A cleaner reportedly found the remains of a human foetus inside a rubbish bin at the cafeteria of a hospital in Ipoh last Saturday.

According to Bernama, 46-year-old Nor Hanizam Idris stumbled on the foetus, which was reportedly put inside an untied package, when she was cleaning out the rubbish bin at around 10.55am.

She immediately lodged a police report at the hospital police beat.

“I was shocked to find the foetus and called out to my colleagues for help,” she was quoted as saying.

Ipoh police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong told the news agency that when Nor Hanizam found the foetus, it was already infested with maggots.

“A security guard told police that he saw a man and a woman arguing near the rubbish bin on Monday,” ACP Sum told Bernama.

The remains, meanwhile, were sent to the hospital mortuary.
