Gather round Trekkies, and lovers of Malaysia’s most famous thespian export, we have news. Michelle Yeoh, aka Captain Georgiou, is coming baaaaack.
Although her character was (SPOILER ALERT – LOOK AWAY NOW) killed-off in episode two of Star Trek: Discovery, she will return for the television series.
Speaking at New York’s Comic Con over the weekend, Gretchen J. Berg, one of the series producers, told an eager crowd that Captain Georgiou was due for a reappearance.
“You will see more of this woman on the show,” she said, according to The Sun who attribute the quote to entertainment site TV Guide.
Captain Georgiou was (AGAIN – SPOILER ALERT – LOOK AWAY NOW) killed in Battle at the Binary Stars by a Klingon named T’Kuvma during a hand-to-hand combat. Rude.
