Time for a little mid-week cheer: A woman’s Facebook post has gone viral, after she told of an unexpectedly kind experience she had when returning to her parked car.
Nur Aqeela writes that attached to her windscreen was a tiny envelope, note and RM150 (US$36) to put towards paying her expired road tax.

Writing that she had let her yearly JPJ (Road Transport Malaysia) dues lapse for a couple of months, she had also been experiencing car trouble with the vehicle, adding that it had difficulty starting.

Having returned to her car after work, she went to start the engine when she noticed what she thought was trash on the windscreen. She admits that she was initially annoyed, thinking someone had just thrown rubbish on her car. However, she was shocked to find that inside the pink envelope were three RM50 bills, along with a short note from the kind stranger.

“Hi, I’m sorry to disturb you. Don’t be worried at the fact that there is money inside. I don’t know who owns this car — consider this as a form of charity. My friends and I collected this money and wanted to do something charitable for a random person who needed it.
I noticed that your road tax hasn’t been renewed yet. Hopefully, this amount can help reduce the cost for you. It should cost between RM300 to RM500 to renew.”

Aqeela writes that she was shocked at the generosity of a stranger, and then she too wrote a letter back to them, posting it to social media to express her gratitude. Thanking them, she added that she will put the money towards the car’s road tax, and that their good deed “will be recognized by Allah.
Well, alright – our hearts have warmed a degree. Be kind, y’all.
