Because if anything can be a scandal in this town, why not this? The bizarrely-controversial rumour that Malaysia’s administrative capital and KL’s sister city Putrajaya would be getting its own Hard Rock Café soon has been shot down by none other than Hard Rock International itself, with a statement on Monday:
“Hard Rock International has strict operating procedures to identify and survey a market prior to opening any new outlets, taking into account local culture and market demands.
“The announcement of any new outlets will come from Hard Rock International directly and not from any third party.”
We wish KL’s dozens of middle-aged, top tax-bracketed weekend bikers the very best of luck in looking for another joint to cosplay as Hell’s Angels in the Putrajaya/Dengkil area. In the meantime, get back to your stock portfolios, sirs.
