Authorities are in the midst of an investigation to solve the mystery behind the strange-looking baby goat born in Kota Tinggi.
According to a report by The Star Online‘s Yee Xiang Yun, Johor state Agriculture and Agro-based Industry committee chairman Ismail Mohamed said they would then know if the deformed goat was an ‘offspring produced by a human and an animal’.
“For now we cannot confirm or deny anything as we have never received such a case before,” Ismail was quoted as saying, adding it could take up to a month for the results to be ready.
Um, okay.
The ‘human-faced’ kid, born in Felda Sungai Mas, (but died soon after, believed to have been trampled on by its own mother), made headlines recently after it was found with a face, nose, short legs and soft body that bore an eerie resemblance to that of a human newborn.
Its carcass was then handed over to the state Veterinary Services Department laboratory.
Ismail told The Star that research would be conducted to know the possible reasons behind its human-like features — and that included the possibility that its mother may have been ‘violated by a human’.
