It’s back to the whiteboard for the teacher as Malaysia’s Ministry of Education has cleared Mohd Fadli Salleh, better known as ‘Cikgu Fadli’ of any wrongdoing after he highlighted the Education Ministry’s letter to demote or dismiss him on social media for voicing out his concerns about the education system

Mohd Fadli said that a letter from the Education Ministry, which he read on a live Facebook broadcast, absolved him of all three charges that had been levelled against him.

“Thank God I was cleared of all three accusations and I have been cleared of any disciplinary action,” he said.

He said in a Facebook post on Oct. 15 that he was slapped with a warning after saying the mathematics syllabus was too advanced for primary school students.

In the letter, the ministry also highlighted some of Cikgu Fadli’s comments on social media as evidence of his supposed “rebellion”.

The issue managed to gain the attention of the caretaker prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and his education minister, Radzi Jidin, who extended an invitation to Cikgu Fadli to hear of his grievances.
