A policeman lost his gun at a nightclub in Kuala Lumpur recently, and city police are still trying to figure out what happened.
According to the New Straits Times, the clueless cop — somehow — stepped out of the toilet in the nightclub at Jalan Doraisamy without his gun, a Steyr Compact, and 10 bullets.
He had gone to the club on Sunday to investigate drug-related activities, the NST said, but ended up having to lodge a report of his own after realising that the gun was gone.
Police managed to trace the weapon and bullets five days later.
City police chief Datuk Amar Singh was quoted as saying that the gun was found in a house at Taman Sahabat, Gombak, yesterday.
Authorities are also investigating what might have caused the policeman to forget about his gun.
The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code and Section 35 of the Arms Act 1960.
