Malaysian police are working on identifying the Malaysian child victims of British paedophile Richard Huckle, who admitted to multiple charges of abuse.
Bernama quotes Federal Police’s Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division assistant principal director ACP Ong Chin Lan as saying that federal police had been informed of the incident about one month ago.
According to the report, Bukit Aman had asked London-based National Crime Agency (NCA) to hand over details of the case, but nothing has been given as yet.
“So far, the victims have not been identified and the NCA only informed about the incident about one month ago, but no information had been given because the case is still on trial. “We have asked for the information repeatedly and will continue to press them for more information for follow-up action,” she reportedly said.
The 30-year-old freelance photographer admitted to 71 out of 91 charges of abuse of children aged between six months and 12 years, from 2006 to 2014 at London’s Central Criminal Court, and is facing multiple life sentences.
