Police shot dead three foreign burglars — believed to be culprits behind several robberies in Selangor this year — who attempting to break into a house in Shah Alam around midnight.
The Star Online reports that the robbers —who were armed with parang and an airsoft gun — had tried to enter a house in Jalan Pulau Angsa U10/36, Bukit Jelutong sometime around 12am, when the alarm went off.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah was quoted as saying that officers on patrol in the area were led on a wild goose chase around the neighbourhood when the robbers tried to flee.
“In response, the officers shot the suspects in self defence and killed them on the spot,” he said adding that most of the 72 robberies in Selangor this year happened in Shah Alam and Bukit Jelutong.
