Police will question Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today over allegedly seditious statements made in his blog recently.
Malay Mail Online’s Kamles Kumar reports the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar as saying that the former prime minister was called to have his statement recorded following several police reports over his blog post.
“Not investigate, we want to get his statement on what he wrote in the blog. We have received several reports, so we have to find out,” Khalid was quoted as telling reporters at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman today.
Refusing to give details on time and place, Khalid was further quoted as saying that ‘it is going on now’.
Malaysiakini’s Alyaa Alhadjri meanwhile, quotes a source as saying that the 90-year-old Dr Mahathir would most likely be questioned at his Perdana Leadership Foundation office in Putrajaya this afternoon.
