Police on the hunt for prisoner who fled from Kajang Hospital

A prisoner has reportedly fled from the Kajang Hospital where he was receiving treatment. 

Police are now looking for the man, in his 40s, who was last seen getting on a bus that was heading towards Kuala Lumpur, The Star Online’s M. Kumar reports. 

The man, whose left arm was placed in a cast, escaped while he was at the hospital around 8pm yesterday.

“We have mobilised our men to track the prisoner and help in any way we can,” Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Othman Nanyan was quoted as saying, adding that police have yet to get an official note from the Prisons Department about the incident. 

The criminal was last seen clad in red prison trousers and a white t-shirt.
