Police finish probe into death of Syed Alman Zain

The police have finished the probe on the death of Syed Alman Zain Syed Alwi, who died while undergoing a dental surgery on June 1, according to a report by The Star Online

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim told the news portal that the police have completed taking statements from witnesses and the case would be handed over to the Attorney-General’s Chambers for recommendation.

“We are only waiting for the expert report, which will take some time as this matter falls under the hospital,” he was quoted as saying.

Syed Alman, the son-in-law of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, reportedly lost conciousness while undergoing treatment at a dental clinic in Bangsar. 

He was rushed to the University Malaya Medical Centre where he died.
