See, you can’t run forever.
An army captain who fled after allegedly raping his cousin has been arrested by the police.
Acting OCPD Supt Martin Koo confirmed to The Star Online that 34-year-old was picked up from the Jalan Oya army camp at 10am on Thursday, two days after the alleged incident took place.
Military authorities had ordered the man to report to the camp, where the police were waiting for him.
Supt Martin told The Star Online that the man is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
On Tuesday, the victim, a Form Six student, was home alone when the man showed up at her house at 4am.
She was in the living room when the suspect pulled her hand and told her that he wanted to hug her. When she rejected his advances, he allegedly pushed her down onto a small mattress and forced himself on her.
The suspect reportedly fled after raping the girl.
