Police arrest 26 youth in Penang drugs den party raid

Penang police have arrested 26 youth, including five secondary school students, who were found off their faces at a RM300 a night, rented apartment in Prai, on the mainland Sunday morning.

The youngest student was a 15-year-old girl, with three other girls aged 16 picked up, and a boy of 17. Two college students were also present.

The Star reports that all of those nabbed were found in the apartment living room, surrounded by drugs that included Eramin5 and ketamine, in front of plastic plates and straws.

Plastic plates? Sigh. Amateur hour at the Apollo.

Police believe that the straws were being used to inhale the drugs. Yes. I think that’s safe to assume.

One of the males was also found in possession of a bag of pills marked with the letter “S.” Police have yet to determine what the pills are, but I’ll put my money on some relatively smack-y Ecstasy, judging by the teens’ taste for downers.

In total, 15 males and 11 females, tested positive for drugs. All were under 23-years-old.

Police say that one of the boys, aged 20, bought the drugs from a dealer he knew only as “Boss” in the hours leading up to the party. This was not the first time the group, who call themselves Group Goyang Kuk, partied together.

The youths have since been taken into police custody for four days while police investigate.
