Prime Minister Najib Razak took time off his hectic schedule of running the country to have a donation of RM10,000 to a girl who recently lost both her legs in an automobile accident on Monday.
While the PM himself didn’t make an appearance, Najib did task UMNO Welfare Bureau chair Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim to head down to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang to deliver the donation to thr family of 13-year old Siti Nuraisyah Samrin.
“The Prime Minister has given a contribution of RM10,000 in cash to Aisyah and the money will be deposited into her Tabung Haji account,” Abdul Azeez told The Rakyat Post‘s Qurnisha Hamka.
“We from the Umno Welfare Bureau have contributed prosthetic legs to the victim. When she is well again, those from Tabung Haji will take her, her parents as well as her sister, who was also involved in the accident, for the pilgrimage.”
Siti Nuraisyah was on her way home from Sekolah Menangah kebangsaan Bagan Terap on a Honda EX5 motorcycle with her stepsister Shamim Amira Roslan when they collided with a Perodua Kancil.
Having fallen off her motorcycle, Siti Nuraisyah was then run over by a lorry travelling on the other side of the road. Both her legs were irreparably injured.
