Prime Minister took time out from his undoubtedly busy schedule running the country to condemn Kinabatangan MP and UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Buang “Bung” Mokhtar for his tweet celebrating Germany’s 7-1 win over Brazil in the World Cup.
The tweet, which Bung ended with the words “Long live Hitler”, caused an online uproar among Malaysians, and also resulted in the German ambassador to Malaysia commenting – negatively, of course – on the matter.
Najib in turn described Bung’s tweet as “unacceptable and wrong”, and said the controversial parliamentary backbencher does not speak for Malaysia or ordinary Malaysians. He ended by wishing the German World Cup team all the best in the final match against Argentina.
