A youth was brutally murdered and chopped into pieces – all because of a fit of jealousy.
According to The Star Online, the victim and the suspect, who were friends, reportedly argued over a divorcee a couple of days before the victim’s severed body parts were found at a house in Kampung Kesang Laut, Johor.
The suspect had allegedly warned the victim to stop seeing the woman.
Tangkak OCPD Supt Mohad Idris Samsuri told the news portal that the murder was committed four days ago at a another location.
“Both the suspect and victim are locals and we are still investigating the motive, their relationship and the other possible causes of the murder,” Supt Mohd Idris was quoted as saying.
He added that the body parts have been sent to the Malacca Hospital for a post-mortem.
On Sunday, a house owner alerted the police after he found a severed foot in the compound of his house. The police later found five plastic bags containing body parts hidden in a drain near the house’s parking lot.
The victim’s head was reportedly found buried in the ground near the house.
