When former Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin was summoned present himself to the Sultan of Johor yesterday afternoon, Sultan Ibrahim (and members of his royal family) graced the poltician with a photo opportunity – the result of which is now online, and has gone very, very viral.
The photograph, taken after th hour-long audience with the Sultan, shows Muhyiddin along with his wife Noorainee Abd Rahman and Johor Menteri Besar Khaled Nordin standing with Sultan Ibrahim, his consort Raja Zarith Sofia, and Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail.
Uploaded to the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook account (which has, of late, become Tunku Ismail’s online mouthpiece on a range of controversial matters) the image is adorned with the JST logo and the statement “True leaders don’t create followers; they create more leaders”.
To date, the FB post has generated more than 65,000 Likes, 7,700 Shares (and counting), and more than 1,600 comments, most of which were supportive of both the Johor royal family and Muhyiddin.
Many comments on the post were also snide remarks on Prime Minister Najib Razak and his new Cabinet lineup, from which Muhyiddin was removed last week.
