Perodua Kenari bursts into flames along Kesas Highway

Motorists using the Kesas Highway this evening were caught in a standstill — and it was not so much because of peak hour traffic.

The Star Online reports that the backed up traffic was due to a Perodua Kenari which burst into flames on KM35.9 of the highway, causing slow traffic from Kewajipan to Kota Kemuning.

Speaking to the portal, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Mohd Sani Harul said the department received a report about the incident at 7.45pm.

“Nine firefighters from the Subang Fire and Rescue department arrived at the scene 15 minutes later,” he was quoted as saying, adding that nobody was injured in the incident.
