A snatch thief in George Town probably thought he could get away with preying on a senior citizen but boy, was he wrong. So wrong.
According to The New Straits Times, the scumbag, who was on a motorcycle, rode up to a 60-year-old woman, alighted and yanked her handbag from behind, causing her to fall over.
Two members of the public who were nearby saw the incident unfold and quickly intercepted the moron before he could get away on his motorcycle.
After a brief chase, they managed to get hold of the idiot and a brawl ensued. Other members of the public soon joined in to overpower the lowlife.
A police patrol unit soon arrived at the scene and detained the sh*thead. Police checks later revealed that he had five previous convictions for theft and drug-related offences.
The woman’s personal belongings were found and returned to her.
