As flexible as cats can be, they still get stuck. One cat in Malaysia’s Penang state somehow managed to get its head caught in the hole of a door before it was eventually freed by firemen yesterday.

Five members of the Bukit Mertajam Fire and Rescue Department managed to save the stuck cat at the Youth Training Institute of Bukit Mertajam by cutting another hole through the door after attempts to pull it out of the sticky situation failed. We don’t know about you but the cat sure looked like it regretted underestimating the size of its body.

“A special mission by the Bukit Mertajam Fire and Rescue Department at the Youth Training Institute of Bukit Mertajam,” the firefighters’ Info Roadblock JPJ Polis page said. “A cat got it’s head stuck in a man-made hole of a door, thankfully it has been rescued thanks to our firemen.”

It’s not clear why there was a hole in the door and how the cat was found.

More than 2,000 people had shared that online post. Comments by some also asked whether the firemen could help free their stuck cats too.

“My cat experienced the same thing, it’s stuck but I got it out, otherwise I’d have to call the firemen,” Hawariah Zack wrote on Facebook.

“There’s my cat who thinks he’s like Spiderman, maybe he will need the firemen’s help later,” Paul Adam chimed in.
