A businessman who stopped by the roadside to answer nature’s call was allegedly robbed of about 400 handphones in Sabah on Sunday.
According to The Star Online, the 32-year-old man was reportedly driving back to Sandakan from Lahad Datu when he decided to stop along the road at 7.30pm to urinate.
When he got down from his car, three men reportedly alighted from a car parked behind his. One of the alleged robbers, a bearded man wearing a dark jacket, pulled out a parang and threatened the businessman.
The men then proceeded to rob the man of his handphones before fleeing the scene.
Kinababatangan police chief Supt A Sahak Rahmat told the news portal that besides the handphones, the man was also reportedly robbed of RM4,500 in cash.
Supt A Sahak added that the man immediately lodged a report at the Kinabatangan police station.
