While doing research for my next travel destination, I stumbled upon this website called Passport Index. The website provides information about how powerful a country’s passport is, as well as how it ranks against other passports in the world.
You know the BuzzFeed article that goes by the title “26 Pictures That Will Give You Some Peace For Once In Your Life”? Well, what really caught my attention on the website was the way they arranged these passports:

The list below show the 29 most powerful passports in the world according to Passport Index, created by Arton Capital, a global financial advisory firm based in Canada.
1. UK, U.S.A.
2. South Korea, Germany, France
3. Sweden, Italy
4. Denmark, Singapore, Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands
5. Switzerland
6. Norway, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, Portugal
7. Canada, Greece, Austria, Malaysia
8. New Zealand
9. Czech Republic, Australia, Hungary
10. Poland, Slovakia
According to Henley & Partners Visa Restriction Index, Malaysia’s passport was ranked 9th best in the world last year, so it does seem that we have moved up 2 places in the space of a year — quite an achievement, we must admit.
