An elderly taxi driver was seriously injured after a vicious attack by a passenger in Kuala Terengganu yesterday.
The New Straits Times reports that the passenger has used stones to hit the 68-year-old driver before fleeing the scene with the man’s wallet.
A police source told the daily that the incident happened at 3pm near Pelabuhan Chendering. A security guard, who found the victim near the port area, alerted police.
The driver sustained injured to his head and body and was sent to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for treatment.
