Charges are expected tomorrow, where a source has said that he will be charged under AMLA (Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.
Newly appointed MACC chief Latheefa Koya has confirmed his arrest, and that he was later released on bail.
Riza’s company Red Granite Pictures most famously bankrolled the Hollywood blockbuster The Wolf of Wall Street, directed by Martin Scorsese, and starring former Jho Low gift recipient, Leonardo DiCaprio. They were also responsible for monstrosities such as Dumb and Dumber Too and Friends with Kids. No charges on having those brought to the light of day are expected.
