Ops Warta — the traffic police operation to catch those who with unpaid summons — will resume on Thursday.
The Rakyat Post reports that the operation, which began in May, has so far netted RM1.59 million in backlogged summons (240,000 arrest warrants cleared).
“The traffic department will carry out a search and arrest operation on individuals who have not cleared their summons which at the moment amounts to RM1.35 million. Road blocks will be conducted and we will go from premise to premise with the mission to locate and arrest,” Bukit Aman traffic chief Datuk Mohd Fuad Abd Latiff was quoted as saying.
