Firemen were usually called in to catch animals such as snakes and wild boars, but there’s one thing they can’t catch while on duty: Pokémons.
The Fire and Rescue Department’s director-general Datuk Wan Mohd Noor Ibrahim has warned firemen against playing Pokémon GO while on duty
Wan Mohd Noor told Bernama that all officers and staff are expected to strictly observe the rule as the management are constantly monitoring them.
Those caught playing the augmented reality game while on duty, said Wan Mohd Noor, will be severely punished.
“It is the right of the individual to play the game but do not do so during office hours and while on duty so as to neglect responsibility. Action will be taken those who do so,” he was quoted by the news agency as saying.
So, the next time you see a wild Bulbasaur blocking your path, you’re on your own, dude. The firemen can’t help you there.
