The Selangor chapter of Malay-Muslim rights NGO Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa (Perkasa) has launched a fund to help convicted road bully and viral video sensation Kiki Kamaruddin with her court fine – because of course it has.
Perkasa Selangor announced the move on its Facebook page, stating, “Out of sympathy for Kiki Kamaruddin, we, the leadership of Perkasa Selangor will collect as much as possible for her…”
Kiki, or her actual name Siti Fairrah Ashykin Kamaruddin, was found guilty of mischief and causing property damage by the Kuantan Sessions Court on Tuesday. She was fined RM5,000 and ordered to carry out 240 hours of commuity work.
In the video of the incident that went viral last week, Kiki was seen hurling abuse and racial slurs at 68-year old Sim Siak Heong after Sim grazed her car. Apart from seizing his car keys and hitting his car with a steering lock, Kiki was also caught on camera accusing Sim of intentionally hitting her car because he was Chinese, and calling Chinese people “very stupid”.
Perkasa has cultivated a racially-provocative image of its own, from its vehement condemnation of Bahasa Malaysia translations of Bibles as being veiled attacks on Malay culture and honour, and its propagation of Malay supremacist policies in Malaysian life.
