OCBC Cycle Malaysia to loan 100 bicycles for Car Free Morning

If you’ve been hankering to get in on Kuala Lumpur’s Car Free Mornings, but are bummed out that you don’t have a bicycle to tour the city with, stop fretting and plan on getting up early this weekend: OCBC Cycle Malaysia is here to help.

The bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative plans to liven up KL’s once-a-month car-free morning by putting up 100 bicycles for use by those who are keen on cycling through the city.

The organisation will be providing bikes sized for 30 adult males, 30 adult females, 10 youths, and 10 tricycles, all free of charge – but they’ll be loaners, so you have to give them back at the end of the morning, of course. All you need to do is to bring your IC or passport to register.

Bike loans are going to be on a first come first served basis, so you’ll need to turn up early. OCBC Cycle Malaysia’s booth at Dataran DBKL will be open at 6.30am on Saturday, October 4th.

And yes, Car Free Mornings are usually on the first Sunday of the month, but seeing as how Hari Raya Aidiladha will fall on the 5th, this month’s event has been moved up a day, so plan accordingly.
