The 36-hour water disruption announced recently does not apply to the entire state of Selangor.
So if you’ve been getting messages like that on WhatsApp and Facebook, ignore them, says Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas).
The company clarified to Bernama that the disruption was – as reported earlier – only for households in Hulu Langat and Sepang. This was due to maintenance and pipe repair works from the Semenyih plant to Bandar Bukit Mahkota, Sepang, Bernama reports.
“When the statement was issued, works was already completed and supply has resumed,” the company had said in a statement adding that water supply to all affected areas would be restored by 8am today.
