There were no Malaysians on board the ill-fated EgyptAir Flight MS804 which reportedly crashed during a flight from Paris to Cairo.
The Star Online reports that Foreign Affairs Ministry has confirmed this based on passenger details released by officials at the airline.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its hope for the safety of the passengers and crew of EgyptAir MS804,” a statement from the ministry said.
The Airbus A320-232 vanished over the Mediterranean Sea about 16km inside Egyptian airspace.
The 12-year-old Airbus A320-232 with 66 people on board was about 40 minutes from its destination, the Guardian reports.
