New Zealand All Blacks to haka KL to smithereens

Are you in the mood to be intimadated by human wrecking balls line dancing on a field? You’re in luck: there are plans afoot to bring the infamous New Zealand All Blacks to KL, in time for their preparations for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Malaysian Rugby Union (MRU) President Datuk Wira Amiruddin Embi said that the organization had greenlit an application by a local company to bring the All Blacks to Kuala Lumpur and make it a venue to prepare for the World Cup.

“Two days ago I was informed by the company that was given the green light (host job), that the All Blacks management had agreed to come to Malaysia but the time and date have yet to be decided,” he told reporters after chairing a team managers meeting for the 2014 Malaysia Super League Rugby Championship, here, today.

The MRU is still ascertaining which local team would play against the All Blacks in KL.

The All Blacks are the defending champions of the Rugby World Cup, having won the last tournament in 2011. They are also 2013’s Team of the Year as judged by the International Rugby Board. The team has come down to Malaysia once before, for 2010’s Spirit of Rugby Cup Malaysia at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, Seremban.

Here’s a video of the All Blacks’ haka, right before their fateful 2011 Rugby World Cup Final against France:
